General information about Corvara

Corvara is a small ski village located in the Trentino-Alto Adige region in the Dolomites. Corvara is linked by a single lift system with the neighbouring ski resorts of La Villa, San Cassiano and Pedraces. Together they form the Alta Badia resort, which in turn is part of the vast Dolomiti Superski area. Corvara has two lifts and a 1,600-metre slope (130 km together with its neighbours) that runs right through the village. It is a gentle run for beginners and leisure skiers. Two types of ski pass are available: one for skiing on the slopes of the 12 Dolomiti Superski resorts, or one only for the 5 resorts of Alta Badia. They are sold here at the cable car entrance. Corvara is full of small restaurants, cosy bars, pastry shops, and tea and chocolate shops. Beautifully maintained walking trails let you enjoy the scenery and surroundings. How to get to Corvara

A taxi ride from Bolzano takes about an hour and costs 120 euros.

You can get to Corvara by train

Intercity (IC) and Eurocity (EC) trains run from major cities, and regional trains (R or REG) from smaller ones. Get off at Bressanone (70 km from Corvara) or Brunico (38 km away). From there, take a SAD bus; they run regularly according to a timetable.

By car

If you are travelling from the south or north on the Brenner motorway (A22), take the Bolzano Nord exit onto the regional road SS242 and continue to Passo Gardena. From there, follow the signs to Colfosco and then to Corvara. If you are coming from Austria, you are doubly lucky. Cross the border into Italy and head to Brunico, then follow the SS244 to Corvara. The entire route runs through the stunning Val Badia valley with breathtaking panoramic views.
